“I will always be painfully honest and work as hard as I can and hopefully make a difference in people’s lives.”
Those were the words of David March, a deputy sheriff for seven years in the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
Tragically, his service ended on April 29th, 2002.
At what appeared to be a routine traffic stop in Irwindale, Deputy March was shot and killed in cold blood by a thrice-deported, twice-convicted, Mexican illegal alien drug pusher.
The murderer was named Jorge Arroyo Garcia, aka Armando Garcia, or “Chato”.
Garcia was pulled over by Deputy March. Both Garcia and Deputy March got out of their respective vehicles and March ordered Garcia to get back into his.
With his back to the officer, Garcia pulled out a 9 mm handgun, turned and shot Deputy March, who fell, after which Garcia walked up and shot Deputy March in the head.
The motive?
Garcia wasn’t being pursued by Deputy March.
Nor was Garcia caught in the act of committing a crime.
No, the motive was simply to kill a police officer.
That’s what Garcia had actually told friends –that his goal was to murder a police officer in a traffic stop!
Garcia had actually provoked the police stop, then waited for Deputy March to be in the open so he’d have a clear shot.
After the shooting, Garcia escaped to Mexico. A number of criminals have done this and some are never returned.
But in 2006, Garcia was finally extradited from Mexico back to the U.S. and received a life sentence.
Deputy David March is still remembered. In Los Angeles County, there is both a public park and thoroughfare named after him.
Each year on the anniversary of his death, deputies keep a 24-hour vigil in honor of March, at the place where he was killed.
It’s good that David March is remembered by the community he served. It would be even better if his death, and those of others, could influence officials to prevent this from happening again.
The killer had been deported three times (1992,1994 and 2001) and convicted of two felonies, but was still here, able to kill Deputy David March in 2002.
If our officials had been determined to enforce our immigration laws, then Deputy March could still be alive in California today.

The 2022 Olympic Winter Games were just held from February 4-20, in and around Beijing, China.
Norway was the winner, garnering more medals overall (37) and more gold medals (16) than any other national team.
In second place was Germany with 12 gold medals and 27 medals in total.
Third place was host China, with nine gold medals (15 total). The U.S. came in fourth place with eight gold medals (25 total).
The Olympics lie at the intersection of sports and nationality, raising questions about citizenship in the contemporary world. Consider two examples.

Connor Dale Holcomb was a 22-year old resident of the state of Idaho.
“Connor loved the outdoors….” reads his obituary, and in Idaho, there is a lot of outdoors to love.
Connor enjoyed hunting, ATV riding and mountain lake boating. He had played football and wrestled and spent time as a ski instructor.
Heavy equipment operation was Connor’s vocation, and he was also involved in cattle raising.
Connor’s earthly life came to an end on May 19th, 2021, driving his Ford pickup truck across an Idaho highway intersection.
If Connor had crossed the intersection a few minutes earlier, maybe even a few minutes later, he might have been safe.
But the instant he crossed the intersection, the drunk driver of a semi-truck ran a red light and crashed right into Connor’s pickup.
As for Connor, he was thrown out of his pickup. They took him to the hospital, but it was too late. The young man died of blunt force trauma.
The semi-truck driver was drunk, with a blood alcohol content level of 0.22. Compare that to the U.S. legal intoxication level of 0.08 and the 0.04 intoxication level for commercial drivers.
Who was the drunk driver who took Connor’s life?
The Idaho Statesman newspaper called the driver “an Arizona man”. Indeed, he did reside in Arizona.
But the rest of the story is that Cecilio Eliut Camacho-Montoya was an illegal alien from Mexico. So he wasn’t legally in the country, shouldn’t have been driving a semi-truck in this country, and certainly shouldn’t have been driving drunk in this country.
Camacho-Montoya was charged by Ada County with felony vehicular manslaughter and aggravated felony drunk driving.
This tragedy raises a number of troubling questions.
How was Camacho-Montoya allowed into the country?
Why wasn’t he deported?
Why was he allowed to drive a semi-truck if he wasn’t a legal citizen?
Did he have a license to drive that truck? If not, why not?
If he did have a license, how could he obtain one if not legally in the country?
Whose truck was it?
If it was someone else’s, why was an illegal alien hired to drive a truck?
These are questions to which we need answers.
If we don’t get answers, and we don’t fix these problems, more Americans are likely to be killed at intersections by drivers who shouldn’t even be here.

On February 16, Senator Ted Cruz, in a Senate Foreign Relations Committee hearing, made some comments about Mexico.
Cruz spoke about the border, about the murders of journalists and politicians in Mexico, and shared his view that Mexican President AMLO was making the situation worse.
These are all legitimate issues for a U.S. senator to discuss, certainly more relevant to our country than the Russia-Ukraine conflict.
But in Mexico, the Cruz comments ruffled some feathers and made Cruz a target of from high-ranking critics, including President AMLO himself.

Cheston Gerard Edwards was a 36-year old African-American resident of Kinston, North Carolina. Cheston Edwards had two children, a nine-year old son and a four-year old daughter.
Mary Edwards, Cheston’s mother, said of Cheston that “He loved his family, he loved me. He was a person who had deep love.”
The last time Mary was able to see Cheston was when he was visiting her the night of March 27th, 2021.
Cheston died after midnight, March 29th, 2021. He was returning from a visit to his girlfriend in Raleigh, North Carolina, driving to his home in Kinston, North Carolina.
Suddenly a Ford F-150, driving westward in the eastbound lanes, crashed head-on into Cheston Edward’s vehicle.
Head-on collisions are disastrous. This head-on collision cost the life of Cheston Edwards, who died immediately in the crash.
On the other hand, the driver who caused the wreck by driving the wrong way walked away unharmed from the crash.
The driver’s name was Rolbin Pacheco-Diaz, age 35, an illegal alien from Honduras residing in Smithfield, North Carolina.
As an illegal alien, Pacheco-Diaz should never have been in the country to begin with. Nor did he have a driver’s license. To top all that off, Pacheco-Diaz was driving drunk and in the wrong direction.
Pacheco-Diaz has been charged with felony death by motor vehicle, driving while intoxicated, reckless driving and driving without a license.
Whatever becomes of the case, however, it doesn’t bring Cheston Edwards back.
Certainly, Rolbin Pacheco-Diaz has a lot to answer for, and I think he realizes it now.
But what about the environment in which illegal aliens such as Pacheco-Diaz are allowed to enter our country and move about freely, not subject to the law?
What about the governmental officials, of various levels, who allowed this to happen?
What about the officials who have allowed illegal immigration and illegal labor to flourish?
What about the business leaders who promote cheap illegal labor?
Don’t they have a lot to answer for? I think that they do.
If these sectors of our society had done their job and stood up for American citizens and workers, then Cheston Edwards could be alive today.
Cheston’s mother had this to say of Rolbin Pacheco-Diaz: “He needs to know that he has hurt me deeply. He’s taken something from me that he shouldn’t have.”

The 2022 French presidential election is only two months away, with a whopping 39 (!) candidates in the running.
How do French voters sort through 39 candidates?
It’s a two-round election, scheduled April 10th for all 39 participants and then April 24th for the top two vote-getters.
Four of those 39 candidates are polling in double digits: incumbent President Macron, Valerie Pecresse (Les Républicains), Marine Le Pen (Rassemblement National), and Eric Zemmour of Reconquête! (Reconquest Party), which he founded.
Zemmour is a French patriot and an ethnic Jew whose parents immigrated from North Africa. He is an immigration restrictionist campaigning to save France.
In a recent interview on French television, Zemmour made his opinions very clear.

Union Station is a famous historical building in Washington D.C.
Built in the early 1900s, it’s an architectural relic of a bygone era. It’s currently a station serving Amtrak and other rail, bus and streetcar lines.
In the early hours of January 28, a day after Holocaust Remembrance Day, the station was vandalized by someone who scrawled over 160 (!) swastikas on the outside walls of the station.
So who did it?

Bambi Larson, the mother of two adult children, was the manager of a medical testing company in California, residing in a peaceful San Jose neighborhood with her dog and her cat.
But on the morning of February 28th, an intruder entered her home, where he beat and stabbed Bambi Larson to death, leaving her body on her bedroom floor, covered with blood.
According to the coroner’s report, Bambi Larson died of “sharp force injuries to the neck and torso”. Her body was discovered by her son and a co-worker who was concerned when she hadn’t gone to work that day.
The perpetrator was 24-year old Carlos Eduardo Arevalo-Carranza, an illegal alien from El Salvador.
The motive for the murder is still unclear, but he did steal her cellphone and kindle tablet.
This miserable story began in 2013 when Arevalo-Carranza crossed the border illegally into Texas, was detained and deported, but soon entered the U.S. again.
This time he entered California, where he was detained again, yet released after four months.
This was followed by a residence in California and the accumulation of a lengthy rap sheet.
Arevalo-Carranza, who had mental problems, was arrested for drug charges, burglary, false ID, false imprisonment, and battery (including battery of a police officer).
ICE issued at least nine detainer requests, six to Santa Clara County and 3 to Los Angeles.
But this being California, there was no cooperation.
Since 2011, even before the entire state of California was declared a “sanctuary state”, Santa Clara County had observed a policy of not honoring detainer requests.
From November 2014 to March of 2019, about 600 illegal aliens released by the county went on to commit violent crimes.
By February of 2019, Arevalo-Carranza was on probation for several charges, free but homeless, camping out near an intersection. His most recent arrest had taken place in the month before he murdered Bambi.
That revolving door kept going around for Arevalo-Carranza until he had the opportunity to murder Bambi Larson.
Bambi’s friend Diane Collman asked the obvious question: “And I want to know, why he was allowed to be here?”
One would think that Santa Clara County’s abysmal record would bring about change. But, no…
Three months after Bambi Larson’s gruesome murder, the 5-member Santa Clara County Board of Supervisors, rather than apologizing, voted unanimously to continue the county’s sanctuary policies.

On January 29th, there was a Trump rally at Conroe, Texas, in the Houston metro.
Among other topics at the Conroe rally, Trump spoke of illegal immigration, and specifically the Biden Border Rush.

Revere, Massachusetts, a suburb of Boston, is named for Paul Revere of the famous Paul Revere’s Ride.
In the year 2000, Revere was the scene of the brutal killing of a 16-year old handicapped boy.
This crime demonstrates how that Revere, and all other American cities, are threatened by the permissive immigration policies of our own leaders.
Charles Ashton Cline-McMurray was a young resident of Revere, a 16-year old who suffered from cerebral palsy.
On October 13th, 2000, Ashton and two friends were walking back from a local football game. They were suddenly attacked by four members of the Asian Tiny Rascals street gang.
What was their motive?
The Asian Tiny Rascals had gone out that night seeking to fight their rivals, the Blood Red Dragons, in a mutually agreed-upon gang fight.
The Rascals saw Ashton and his two friends, all three wearing red, and assumed they were Blood Red Dragons. So they attacked them.
Ashton’s friends ran away. Because of his cerebral palsy, Ashton wasn’t able to escape, and was surrounded by the four young men.
“Chill”, Ashton told them, but to no avail. Ashton was knocked to the ground, and the four gang members set upon him in a brutal attack.
Sandra Hutchinson, mother of Ashton, described the attack on her son thusly: “They stabbed him. They beat him. They beat him with rungs out of stairs. They beat him with a golf club. They stabbed him through his heart a couple of times. And through his lung. They stabbed him in his abdomen. He didn’t have a chance, really.”
It didn’t take long, and Ashton was dead.
Of the four attackers, three were illegal aliens. They were Viseth Sao, 17; Loeun Heng, 26; Savoeun Heng, 26; and Savoun Po, 26. Only Savoun Po was not an illegal alien.
Viseth Sao, the leader of the group despite being the youngest, had stabbed Ashton four times with a cane knife, which is a machete-like tool designed to cut sugar cane.
Sao was convicted in court of second degree murder while the other three were convicted of manslaughter.
But the damage had been done. Thanks to the failure of our government, a handicapped young man was brutally attacked and killed by four gang members, three of whom did not even have the right to be in the country.
