Mexico is a racially statified society.  The higher you go up the socioeconomic ladder, the whiter the Mexicans are.  The lower you go the darker they are.  Of course there are many exceptions, but that’s the general rule. 

For my new Mexico News Report website I did a piece about the Mexican Supreme Court (click here for it). 

If you go to the court’s website, to this page, you can see all 11 Mexican Supreme Court justices.  Notice that they mostly look white.

Mexican President AMLO weighed in on the Baltimore bridge collapse to score a rhetorical point on immigration.  It turned out that the workers who fell into the water when the bridge collapsed were from Mexico and Central America.

The state of Texas recently passed Senate Bill 4, making unauthorized entry into Texas from Mexico a crime, punishable by up to six months in jail.

S.B. 4 is currently tied up in federal courts.

But even if Texas receives court authorization for S.B. 4, the law is already opposed by the Mexican government, which closely follows U.S. immigration policies and politics and then meddles accordingly.

Mexico has a presidential election every six years, and the United States every four years.

Every 12 years, therefore, Mexico and the United States have a presidential election the same year.

This year, 2024, is one of those years.

The Mexican election of 2024 is scheduled for June 2nd.
