Oklahoma’s Republican Governor Kevin Stitt just signed HB 4156, criminalizing illegal immigration as “impermissible occupation.” This law allows Oklahoma to remove and even imprison illegal aliens.
But simultaneously, Gov. Stitt set up a task force to promote amnesty and more foreign labor in the state of Oklahoma.
You can see the contradiction on Stitt’s gubernatorial website in a document entitled, “Governor Stitt Signs Bill to Defend Oklahomans from Biden’s Open Border Policies, Launches Task Force to Find Legal Pathways for Workers.”

The Oklahoma state legislature overwhelmingly passed a law to criminalize illegal immigration in Oklahoma. But Governor Kevin Stitt is still dawdling and has not signed it. It’s possible he may not, as he has never committed himself to doing so while the law was passing through the legislature.
Not only that, but the esteemed governor of Oklahoma wants the Mexican consul in Oklahoma City to help draft an Oklahoma law to deal with the situation. No kidding.

I accompanied my younger son, a university student, on a trip to Mississippi and Louisiana. The trip was his idea and he planned it.
A road trip is an opportunity to see our country at ground level. You drive through part of the U.S.A, you see landscapes, cities, historical sites and even talk to people. You can appreciate our American heritage.

Last year in my red home state of Oklahoma, a Mexican consulate was opened. This consulate was encouraged, facilitated and celebrated by Republican Governor Kevin Stitt and Republican Oklahoma City Mayor David Holt.
I thought it was a bad idea, but apparently nobody influential in the Oklahoma GOP or the state government spoke out against it.
But now I can say, “I told you so”. Allow me to quote myself.
