The vaquita, scientific name Phocoena sinus, is a type of porpoise endemic to Mexico.
Not only is the vaquita endemic to Mexico, it’s endemic to only one region of Mexico!
The vaquita lives in the northern part of the Sea of Cortes.
the vaquita is the smallest and rarest type of porpoise. It has only been known to science since the 1950s.The vaquita is now in imminent danger of extinction.

For years I’ve thought that the state of Texas could do more to secure its border with Mexico.
It’s now 2024 and Texas Governor Greg Abbott has his border program, which is centered in the town of Eagle Pass, across the Rio Grande from Piedras Negras, Mexico.
Abbott has the Texas National Guard on the border. As a Texas National Guard veteran myself, I wish them well.

The Mexican federal government is organized like that of the United States, with an executive branch, a bicameral Congress and a Supreme Court.
Whereas the U.S. Supreme Court has 9 members selected for life, Mexico’s Supreme Court has 11 members, with 15-year terms.
Now, President AMLO is proposing some changes.
