In recent decades it has become a tradition in the United States to eat guacamole at Super Bowl watch parties. The principal ingredient of guacamole is the avocado. Most avocadoes consumed in the United States are imported from Mexico.
This year it’s estimated that Mexican producers are sending 110,000 tons of avocadoes to the United States for the Super Bowl .
