On September 3rd, 2025, U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio visited Mexico City, where he conferred with Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum and Mexican Foreign Minister Juan Ramon de la Fuente. Rubio and De La Fuente spoke at length at a press conference, in which Rubio spoke both in English and in his Cuban-accented Spanish.
