In the polls, Romney is getting trounced by Obama among Latinos.

Does that mean Mitt is doomed to lose the election?

Look at the math.  Hispanics cast only 6.9% of the vote in 2012, barely a tenth of the votes cast by whites.

If Romney wants to be a winner in November, he needs to fish where the fishes are.  The candidate  needs to appeal to a demographic that will vote for him, and seek to increase his share of that demographic.

There are other polls that would give Team Romney much occasion for optimism, if the candidate and his advisors  would just pay attention and think straight.

Romney should go for the white working class vote, that’s the demographic that can help him win the election.

I think we would all agree that the U.S. faces many problems today.

We have an enormous national debt, high unemployment, crime, family disintegration, a high abortion rate, a movement to redefine the institution of marriage,  environmental problems, education problems, racial and ethnic strife, political problems and more.

There is one factor that is related to all these problems. And this is the one factor our leaders don’t really want us to debate.

What’s that factor?

DEMOGRAPHY.

Mexico is in the midst of a presidential election.  Balloting is scheduled for July 1st.

As I am currently visiting Mexico, you could say I’m right in the middle of it, but of course, as an American citizen I don’t vote, campaign or meddle in the election, though I do find it very interesting and entertaining.

What can we learn from the Mexican election that affects the United States, especially as regarding  our immigration policies?
