Southwest Kansas has seen a massive demographic shift, with a huge influx of Spanish-speakers. There are so many that the Spanish language has influenced the pronunciation of English speakers.
According to a Kansas State University research team, the pronunciation of young English speakers in Southwest Kansas has been influenced by the Spanish sound system. There’s even a name for it – the “Liberal Accent” or the “Liberal Sound”, named after the city of Liberal, Kansas.

The public charge law concept has been part of our country since the 1600s, but it’s mostly been ignored recently.
The purpose of public charge law is to prevent immigrants being on the dole and being a public charge. Why should we select immigrants that go on the dole?
Today, many immigrants are on welfare.
The Trump Administration wants to improve the situation and can do so without even the necessity of congressional participation, by just enforcing what’s already on the books.

Amidst all the hysteria over Russian meddling, Tucker Carlson pointed out that Mexico meddles, which I’ve been pointing out for years.
Mexico meddled in the 2016 election and tried to defeat Trump, for example.

Our family recently returned from our annual summer visit to Mexico, which coincided with the Mexican election.
Mexico has a very good voter registration system. It’s better than ours.
Gated communities are a big thing in the metropolitan area where we were.
We also had some mechanical work done on the car.

Elections were held on July 1st in Mexico. Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador, known by the acronym AMLO from his initials in Spanish, won the election, with a majority of the vote.
Besides the presidential election, there were elections for the Mexican congress, gubernatorial elections in some states, elections for the head of the Mexico City government, and other elections on the state and local levels.
In all, there were more than 3,400 government positions voted upon.

The hullabaloo over family separation at the border continues. It´s true that our border is a humanitarian nightmare. But it’s not Trump’s fault. Trump is trying to fix the problem.
It turns out many of these parents of the five and under set are criminals that have to be separated from their children, some don’t want to be united with the children, and some aren’t their parents at all.

The recent outcry over family separation of illegal aliens has included an attempt to play the Christian Card, to say that it’s unChristian to separate illegal aliens families.
It’s true, families ought to be kept together. But the current humanitarian and security nightmare on our border is the real problem. We need to get our border so tight that Central Americans aren’t enticed to make the dangerous trip across Mexico to the U.S. border.
As for the use of the “Christian card”, that’s just an attempt to guilt trip American Christians into moving towards open borders.
