Much has been said stateside about the class of illegal aliens fancifully known as the “DREAMers”. Well, the Mexican government has recently said that if they return to Mexico, the Mexican DREAMers will be accepted with open arms and will be aided in their re-integration into Mexican society.
We should take Mexico up on its offer.

NOTE: I did not write the first paragraph of this article , which was put there in the editing process. The first paragraph refers to an incident at Washington, D.C.’s American University, which was quite unlike the situation at Lipscomb described in my article. At American University, somebody put cotton and a Confederate battle flag on a bulletin board, obviously to stir things up. The situation at Lipscomb was totally different, just a table decoration which offended people. They are two different situations, and I would not have associated them. What I mentioned in my article was a reference to a Hobby Lobby, in which a customer was offended by a cotton display. See here and here. That was more similar to the Lipscomb case, but that was edited out of the article. To its credit, Hobby Lobby did not apologize for that one.
Three Republican senators have introduced the “SUCCEED Act”, an amnesty program for the group of illegal aliens fancifully known as the “DREAMers”.
Instead of doing that, why don’t these guys use their energy to promote the RAISE Act, which would reduce legal immigration?

An earthquake hit central Mexico on September 19th, killing over 300 people.
This earthquake hit on the 32nd anniversary of the Mexico City earthquake of 1985, which killed about 10,000 people, although the exact tally is unknown and much disputed.
After the 1985 earthquake, several changes were made to be better prepared for the future.
