Russell Moore’s official title is President of the Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission of the Southern Baptist Convention, the country’s largest Protestant denomination.
However, Russell Moore seems to view himself as a sort of Grand Inquisitor of all Evangelicals. Moore has already condemned Christians who support Donald Trump.
Moore’s latest New York Times op-ed is entitled “A White Church No More”. It’s an attack on white evangelicals, or specifically, Trump-supporting evangelicals or maybe just Americans who don’t want the U.S. to become transformed beyond recognition. But they are condemned by Moore, who would have us believe that Jesus Christ condemns them too. Moore goes far, even into blasphemous territory, in my view. See what you think.
