Mexican drug baron Joaquin “Chapo” Guzman recently escaped from a “maximum security prison” in Mexico, through a mile-long tunnel specially constructed for his escape.
Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump tweeted that “The U.S. will invite El Chapo, the Mexican drug lord who just escaped prison, to become a U.S. citizen because our ‘leaders’ can’t say no!”
Outrageous? Maybe. But maybe not completely. After all, Guzman already has several American connections. And it’s not like our country is very careful about who we’re taking in these days!
