President Trump delivered the 2019 State of the Union address, and Stacey Abrams delivered the Democratic response. Well, the English-language Democratic response.
There was also a Spanish-language Democratic response, although technically it wasn’t a “response” as it was released before Trump even spoke. But no matter, we already know the Democrats are against Trump.
But why is there a Spanish-language response to the State of the Union anyway? And if there is, shouldn’t English-speaking Americans know what’s being said? Is it possible that even English-speaking Americans have a say in the future of this country?
